First of all let’s “decipher” the name Tricity. The three cities are:

Gdańsk – a 1000 years old city with breathtaking monuments and charming streets
Sopot – a resort and a spa
Gdynia – a modernist, real 21^st century city

Gdańsk

• Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers – a monument commemorating the victims of December 1970, three 42-metre high crosses with low reliefs, depicting the life of the shipyard workers at the bottom of the monument.
• The Royal Road – a wonderful pedestrian-only road surrounded by tenements previously inhabited by the most influential and wealthiest patrician families.
• The Main Town Hall – a former seat of the local government, nowadays it is the main headquarters of Gdańsk History Museum.
• Neptune – a fountain located on the Royal Road with Neptune on top, a cast bronze statue of the sea god molded in 1615 by Peter Hussen.
